Who's the Flower on 'The Masked Singer?' There's One Theory That Makes so Much Sense

We laughed off guesses of Drew Barrymore, but now we're not so sure...

We’re back again with another The Masked Singer season 2 theory that we can’t stop thinking about: The Flower.

This is by far the most intricate costume we’ve seen on the series (though the Thingamajig and the Flamingo give it a run for its money). It’s the only one in the history of the show with actual human facial features (Is that somehow a clue!?), and includes over 30 layers of hand-sewn petals.

But beneath that gorgeous purple exterior lies a celebrity singer, and we’re more than ready to start guessing at the identity. Here are the clues and best guesses about the Flower on The Masked Singer.

The Flower Clues

  • There are apparently a “dozen reasons” you’ll love her.
  • “I blossom in every field I plant myself in, and I’m here to branch out yet again,” she said.
  • She used the phrase “put my petals to the metal.”
  • The numbers “314” were written in flowers, and there were also buildings with graffiti in the background.
  • She hopes the audience loves her and loves the other contestants “not…as much.”

We don’t want to be overconfident, but Mayim seems like an airtight guess. For one, she was a child star on Blossom, which could explain the costume choice. Eagle-eyed fans also pointed out that her apartment number on The Big Bang Theory is 314. And if that didn’t convince you, know that The Big Bang Theory had 12 seasons—which checks out with the “dozen” reasons we’ll love her on The Masked Singer.

The Office star is from St. Louis, which has an area code of 314. Both her and her character, Pam, are super sweet, which fits with the Flower’s kinder competitive spirit. She doesn’t have a solid connection to anything floral though, which leads us to believe this is a stretch.

    Drew Barrymore

Speaking of stretches, this one feels even further off. But many pointed out that Drew does have a successful cosmetics line called Flower Beauty, which is an example of her branching off from acting. According to IMDb, she’s also the executive producer of an upcoming show called Blooms. The “petal to the metal” reference could align with her part on Charlie’s Angles: Full Throttle. Suddenly this isn’t seeming so crazy?

    Mariah Carey

The judges were all puzzled about the Flower in this video of them deliberating, but they mention “Vision of Love,” a popular song by Mariah Carey. Nick Cannon was married to Mariah until 2016, but that connection alone probably doesn’t signify that she’s behind the mask.

Though there are many ideas circulating, there’s one thing most fans seem to agree on. The Flower’s costume is stunning!
